Inter-school Football Tournament, Summer 2016

Our inaugural football festival kicked off in style at South Ruislip, Goals, with 12 schools from Harrow and Hillingdon participating. With parents, teachers and coaches in attendance and the sun beaming down, the stage was set.

There was even an opportunity to have a picture with the most prestigious trophy in the world, the F.A. Cup!

With two leagues of six, closely matched and battling for the eight quarter final places, there was no shortage of endeavour and quality. Spectacular play was evident from all schools, with exceptional individual play from Hermitage and great team work, especially from Newnham and Whitehall Junior, who went on to meet in the final.

A closely matched final between two undefeated teams who could only be separated by the odd goal in 5, which ended with a coolly converted penalty.

Congratulations to Newnham, commiserations to Whitehall Junior.

We would like to thank all those schools that took part in what was a wonderful occasion and look forward to seeing you all next summer – 2017.

“Please pass this on to the team. A great sports day put on for us – parents and staff enjoyed it and, most importantly, the children loved it. Perfectly pitched, timed and lots of enthusiasm.

A big, big thank you and thanks to Jason for putting it together”
